HOW IT STARTED:

QWEER began as a rant between a few queer women that work in entertainment (a development executive and a few writers). We felt frustrated that there is such a strong community of gay men in entertainment, and due to their very outgoing lifestyles many of those men are able to use their gay social network as a means of advancing their careers. This frustration began the networking aspect of QWEER. We aspire to bring together queer women (however they choose to identity, all are welcome) so that we can utilize our network to forward our goals.
